We are launching Million Meals in the city quest in the U.K. This will also be launched in the U.S.A with further international countries to follow. 

Why? 

Around 14.4 million people are living in poverty in the UK in 2021/2022, according to the government’s official statistics. That is around one in five people. Around 4.2 million children are affected. That is around one in 3 children. 

Due to such unprecedented times, we know the figure is higher than declared. 

The Food Foundation has reported a total of 9.3 million adults experienced food insecurity in January 2023. Around 3.2 million adults reported not eating for an entire day because they could not afford food. 

This is shocking along with the fact that many children's only meal is when school is open. Therefore the added pressure and knock-on effects in the household can bring many to a breaking point affecting well-being, health, and decisions. 

With the winter season here, we need to urgently respond to the demand and make it the best ever across the U.K. 

Including thousands of homeless shelters, hostels, and care homes.
